Description

These woods were dangerous at night, stalked by all manner of hungry hyper-carnivores. Kelusines, Forest Wolves, Shadolves, and possibly even a Night Hunter. Alphia forbid we run into that last one.
-----
“I know I shouldn’t just let him be murdered, but… he deserves it,” Steven growled, clenching his fist. “Fitting end for him if she tore him apart. He ordered my brother torn apart by Night Hunters.”
Even Thatcher felt a twinge of horror at that. Night Hunters were notorious for not going for the arteries. They just ripped and ate. Thankfully they were dying out.

Night Hunters. A species of hybrid carnivores that stalk the forests of Kelusia and the late Ragerya. Capable of reaching the size of a juvenile Eqyustine, they are to be treated with extreme caution. They are solitary, nocturnal hunters that often lure their prey in with their luminescent light before delivering a crippling blow with their tails. They produce a sound best described as a rattling, high pitched roar, capable of deafening prey at close range. With no hunting restrictions placed, and nests being destroyed on sight, Night Hunters are a dying breed.

Oh ho ho boy! Night Hunters! Ever wondered what an alligator, angler fish, praying mantis, and scorpion would look like fused into one? Now you know! :la:
The first texts were taken from True Colors, the next major story in the works.

But yo! First time full body shading like this! :squee:

Okay, this is one species that I wouldn't mind going extinct. :o But I like the idea of a type of land angler fish - I guess they would operate very much like will-o-wisps, luring travelers and such away with their light before attacking them.
